"Spicy cold dishes for take away only. Favourites were Mala giblets. Both tongue and intestine were really nice too. Small and large sizes at 7.90/ 11.90. Will come back again to try other dishes. Almost 20 over to try. Update 061124 Bought 5 boxes near closing and was $10 each for large boxes. Bought the same tongue and giblets. Tried different yellow intestine, oyster mushroom and chicken feet. Tongue still good flavour and firm texture. Giblet a bit sweet this time. Good texture still. Oyster good texture but a bit sweet. Yellow intestine, salty and soft. Wouldn't buy again. Chicken feet well seasoned, bouncy and nice collagen texture. Spicy heaven has better tripe. Update 010925 Laziji for $12.90. Spicy, numbing and correct traditional chicken wing cuts. Oily as the dish requires. Can heat up in the oven to make it somewhat crisp again. But heating up on the stove is a whole different level. Dried chilli and Sichuan peppers become crispy and fragrant. Also started selling xiaolongxia for $17.90. Two boxes of spare parts are going for $18 at 5pm on a Sunday."
"Have visited the box hill centre branch multiple times. The scallion pancakes with fillings (I love the shredded potato and spicy meat) is delicious and very filling. The staff don't speak much English, but the food is good and theyre very fast with having it ready. Will come again."
"Insta: markandelly_eats I unexpectedly found this hidden (well, not so hidden) gem in Box Hill Central. I was on my way to work and I saw a bunch of Asian ladies just pumping out these steaming, snow-white buns/baos like factory workers in the assembly line. After seeing that, I had to try. First of all, don’t expect a top-tier customer service. I’ve been here several times already and cashier ladies are pretty impatient. Best thing you can do is to know exactly what you want, pay, and leave. Ask minimal questions. They are streamlined as f and will punish you for slowing them down LOL. My favourite one was the Pork Bun. Full of minced pork and bits of ginger, it’s mad juicy. Skin can be a bit too thick but it is what it is. One bao is more than enough to keep me full for several hours and I am a big dude. I don’t know why but whenever I eat more than 2 buns, I feel a bit uneasy. Maybe it’s because its fat/msg content? Idk but can’t complain too much knowing the price. Regardless, I still grab handful every time I’m in Box Hill cuz I ain’t scared."
"the spring onion pancake was spiced perfectly, full of pepper and spring onion, warm and soft. the egg pancake was delicious and well-worth the price, given how much egg is on there. i wish it was seasoned more though, a smear of fermented chilli paste would have been amazing. the chives and egg dumpling was delicious, however i wish there were more chive and eggs instead of glass noodle."
"This place is super nice. I do not know why the rate is low. People provide good service and especially for the lady working close to the window. You can see she loves her job and tried to provide good service to people. Most importantly; their food is nice and the portion is super generous. The picture for the pot, we already ate half way, still plenty. The bun filled with pork, only $6.50, in nowadays, can you imagine? Definitely 5 star for everything!"
"This place has something called a "Chinese burger" and it is amazing. You can choose two fillings I chose one with pork belly and also spicy organ meat, the taste is amazing and I would definitely buy it again great value and a tasty snack which is quite filling on it's own."
"One of my favourite take away place in Box Hill Central! Highly recommend!!!"
"The service was friendly and efficient. I ordered a vegetarian mushroom bun which was mushroom, Chinese spinach, black fungus, tofu and vermicilli. The bun was piping hot, and tasty. Although the bun was quite thick, once I got to the ingredients I was really pleasantly surprised. Overall this was something that I'd definitely eat again."
